Sahil is driven by the opportunity to create more sustainable and inclusive systems, particularly in agriculture. He has worked with businesses, financial institutions, and development organizations to embed sustainability into core strategies, with a strong focus on improving livelihoods for smallholder farmers and communities. Coming from a farming background himself, this mission holds deep personal meaning for him.

Experience

  • Sahil is committed to advancing environmental and social sustainability in agriculture and finance. He brings over eight years of experience working with development banks, consultancies, and civil society organizations across Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Africa. His work has focused on sustainable agriculture, agri-finance, ESG risk management, climate resilience, and biodiversity conservation – supporting both public and private clients in integrating sustainability into their operations.
  • By combining technical expertise, strategy, and stakeholder facilitation, he helps drive market-based transitions toward inclusive and regenerative value chains.

Sahil holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Sustainable Development, specializing in Ecology from KU Leuven, Belgium. His thesis focused on optimizing ecosystem services delivery in the agroforestry systems in Colombia where he created an integrated agroforestry and financial model befitting farmers and ecosystems. I also holds a BA in Economics from Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), India. Additionally, Sahil has done professional course on sustainable land use management from Yale School of Environment; and environmental law and policy from Delhi National Law University.

At NewForesight, Sahil is excited to develop market-driven sustainability solutions that accelerate systemic change. His projects allow him to operate at the intersection of sustainability, market transformation, and systems thinking—supporting stakeholders to align economic, social, and environmental outcomes at scale.
