Experience

Before joining NewForesight, Tendai built a diverse and impactful career at the intersection of sustainability, data, and business strategy. She began her journey at Genesis Analytics, where she was part of the Shared Value and Impact team. There, she focused on embedding sustainability into core business strategies, helping companies align profitability with positive social and environmental outcomes.

She then joined Surveya, a data solutions company, where she honed her technical expertise in data modeling, analysis, and visualization. This experience deepened her ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Tendai later took on a role at ECOM Agroindustrial as a Business Intelligence Analyst within the global sustainability data team. In this position, she contributed to key initiatives such as carbon baseline reporting, supply chain traceability, and due diligence processes for responsible sourcing.

Across her career, Tendai has worked in sectors including agriculture, renewable energy, and inclusive business development. Her thematic expertise spans sustainability strategy, climate transition, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and data-driven decision-making. This multidisciplinary background enables her to navigate complex challenges and drive meaningful change in sustainable development.

She recently completed a postgraduate course in Finance, Contract, and Risk Mitigation for Power Investment in Africa at the UCT Graduate School of Business, deepening her expertise in renewable energy — particularly South Africa’s decarbonization pathways as they relate to market-based solutions led by the private sector. She is also currently pursuing certification in Microsoft Power BI to further strengthen her business intelligence capabilities.
