The Coalition of frontrunners in health is a group of organizations, brought together by the Samenwerkende Gezondheidsfondsen (SGF) aiming to realize breakthrough acceleration in the transition towards health and healthy lifestyle in the Netherlands. 

This hugely ambitious coalition seeks to support Dutch citizens to live longer in perceived good health and quality of life. By addressing systemic issues across different but related transition tracks ranging from developing healthy habitats and addressing health-harming industries to financial fitness and security of vulnerable groups and from local support initiatives to promotion of healthy lifestyle in healthcare, they seek to develop an integral approach to accelerate the transition. 

NewForesight supports the coalition to develop a shared, holistic vision and strategy: to better align existing initiatives to each other and to the state of the transition, to identify blank spots where additional interventions are needed, and to involve the right stakeholders at the right time. Unique in its broad and varied composition with stakeholders ranging from governments to knowledge institutions, NGO’s, financiers and businesses, this coalition provides both a great opportunity to succeed where other initiatives so far have not, and a challenge to develop and maintain alignment. 

With our expertise in other sectors and the TransMission framework as a basis, NewForesight supports this coalition to create maximum alignment and impact. We are working towards presenting the coalition’s approach and signing commitment during the Health summit in December 2026 in Groningen, with intermediary alignment meetings in June and September.
