Julie Phillips – Inclusive Innovator

Julie creates focus where there is chaos and takes NewForesight’s projects to the next level with her great enthusiasm for innovative thinking. Don’t let her calm appearance fool you: Julie critically observes every situation and comes with sharp thoughts and concrete ideas.

At NewForesight, Julie plays a vital role in supporting the World Cocoa Foundation on the next phase of CocoaAction. In this project she applies human-centered design to rethink how the cocoa sector can approach sustainability issues in an inclusive and collaborative way. Julie is also active in several Service Delivery Model cases where she discovers new and effective pathways for delivering services across different sectors.

Julie always takes an inclusive holistic approach to sustainability and is specifically interested in how people and the environment interact. She puts this into practice at NewForesight by strategically reviewing how the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) deliver an effective framework for progress.

Prior to NewForesight, Julie worked as a Sustainability Consultant at Price Waterhouse Coopers. There, some of her projects looked to use digital disruption for development, while others developed/provided guidance to the GRI and the UN Global Compact on how businesses can use the SDGs for reporting.

Julie holds an MSc in Sustainable Development and Social Business from HEC Paris.
