Long before that journey begins, it depends on farmers, water, healthy soil and biodiversity.<\/p><p>In Chile\u2019s Aconcagua Valley, water stress is becoming a business risk as much as an environmental one. Reduced and less predictable water availability can affect yields, increase production costs and make supply less reliable, while international buyers still need consistent volumes and quality. These pressures make water resilience a shared challenge across the value chain.<\/p><p>That is where collective action comes in. Through the Aconcagua Partnership, growers, exporters, international buyers and public actors are working together to strengthen water stewardship and the long-term resilience of the region\u2019s fruit sector.<\/p><p>The Partnership combines practical farm-level action with collaboration across the supply chain and engagement in wider water governance. Its work includes supporting regenerative agriculture, improved water management practices, shared monitoring and data, multi-stakeholder dialogue, and participation in regional water-management discussions.<\/p><p>And that group is growing.<\/p><p>As more partners join, the Aconcagua Partnership shows what collective action can look like in practice: different actors aligning around a shared risk, a shared region and a shared interest in long-term resilience.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A piece of fruit can travel 10,000 kilometres before it reaches a supermarket shelf.
