Bonsucro is a global multi-stakeholder non-profit initiative dedicated to reducing the environmental and social impacts of sugar cane production.

Currently Bonsucro´s traceability system mass balance is operational and is being used by Bonsucro´s members to trace Bonsucro certified sugarcane. In light of Bonsucro´s broader traceability strategy, the next step is to develop a certificate trading system. NewForesight was hired by The Netherlands Embassy in Colombia to conduct a five sector analysis on promoting sustainable trade between The Netherlands and Colombia.
